We have undertaken thorough mechanical testing programmes on natural and engineered bamboo and wood specially. These have been undertaken to assess and compare their elastic and strength properties.

As with other bio-based materials the mechanical behaviour of wood and bamboo is highly variable. Furthermore, many of the structures designed with these materials exploit features such as their low weight-to-strength-ratio and require testing prior to construction.

At the core of our company's values is the commitment to conduct research & development activities, as well as the transfer of knowledge. We are part of renown research groups in the UK and internationally, participate on standardisation committees and theme specific Tasks Forces, which give us the opportunity of collaborating and publish our work.
